GM tries to put brake on SUV sales decline

"GM rolled out fresh incentives on Monday in an attempt to staunch plummeting sales of gas-guzzling sport-utility vehicles, pick-up trucks and other slow-selling models. The Detroit-based carmaker said it would offer interest-free financing for up to six years – an unusually long period for such promotions." Wow, they are getting desperate.

Criminal charges laid against Bridgecorp and two of its directors, including founder Rod Petrecevic, are the first of a series of Companies Office legal actions against failed finance companies to be announced over coming weeks, the Business Herald understands.
